Haven Vieira is an emerging image artist from Toronto, Canada, utilizing digital lens based mediums to create unique photographic work. He deeply appreciates the ability of photography to communicate subjective perceptions of reality, through techniques such as slow shutter speed and double exposure. In addition, he is passionate about documenting raw and energetic moments found throughout urban life. Today, he remains driven to developing his craft as he continues to welcome influence from and explore the many beautiful cultures of the world.
Project Statement
This selection of photos opts to demonstrate a range of work as well as an evolutionary growth throughout numerous projects. The subjects of the work demonstrate an artistic range: From freezing the unfiltered adrenaline and vibrance of Toronto’s culture through its local hardcore scene’s moshpits, independent wrestling violence and energetic underground raves; to a modern and ethereal perspective on street photography that feels light like our grasp of time as urban nights quickly pass us by, but heavy in its emotional resonance.
