Iulian Tanase is a film photographer from Romania. Photographic film is his way of expressing his experiences and thoughts on what and how he sees, on what he chooses to photograph, on how he does that, and why. His (rather unconventional) feelings and approach to art photography are yet to be clear, at least for him. He is on a continuous journey, not yet certain of the destination, but enjoying every mile of the way. Graduate of the New York Institute of Photography Accredited photojournalist SNJ / EFJ (France) Member of Federation of European Photographers, Romanian Association of Photography Artists, International Association of Art Photographers 16 international awards/diplomas and 4 Gold medals with the International Association of Art Photographers in 2025.
Project Statement
UBI BENE, IBI PATRIA – This old Latin saying is stating a truth, universally known, applicable in ancient and modern times alike: wherever you find a better life, that’s where your home is. Indeed, it is true, for so many humans who, for various reasons, left their home country to live a better, more secure, peaceful, decent lives elsewhere. Indeed, one can find all or some of these in a distant place, HOME AWAY FROM HOME.
